El Manifiesto de la Ira / The Manifesto of Anger, 2017

Installation, custom wallpaper, audio

Variable dimensions

The behavior associated with our various experiences and interpretations of the act of thinking and saying. The tension between internal psychology and external reality. Our self-alienation due to the repression of our emotions or the inability to speak for ourselves. The fear of saying or confronting situations that marginalizes us. The piece is a reaction to both; the oppressive social environment in Cuba and in the United States as the artist navigates from one place to the other.
