Yali Romagoza is an interdisciplinary artist working across performance, fiber-based sculpture, video, and installation. Drawing on her background in fashion design, she transforms construction and textile manipulation techniques into sculptural forms activated by the body. Her practice explores migration, embodiment, and the quiet architectures of survival, where absence, texture, and labor become carriers of memory.

Her work has been presented at the North Carolina Museum of Art, The Immigrant Artist Biennial, Art in Odd Places, Satellite Art Show, Abrons Arts Center, EFA Project Space, and the Monira Foundation, among others. She has received awards and residencies, including the Franklin Furnace Fund, SVA Art Residency, EmergeNYC, Queens Arts Fund, the EFA Studio Program, and the NYLAAT Residency at Governors Island.

In 2022, Ediciones Rialta (Spain) published her book Cuquita La Muñeca Cubana, featuring a selection of her most critically recognized performance works.

Romagoza holds a BA in Art History from the University of Havana and an MFA in Fashion Design from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She lives and works in New York City.
